Welcome to Soulsome Food - and my world of healing, life-enhancing food and eating. I offer a simple approach to healthful food based on ancient principles of balanced natural whole foods. I'm excited about the power of food to transform our lives and give us health, vitality and happiness. I love delicious, simple food, and the pleasure of cooking with the wonderful fresh ingredients that each season brings us. Healthy food doesn't have to be tasteless or 'worthy' and life is definitely too short to eat dull food - ever. More than anything, I love a kitchen full of friends, enjoying cooking together and sharing honest, heart-warming food and I love watching people improve their health and their wellbeing on every level. Soulsome Food is Based on Four Principles: Whole foods Foods that are as close to their natural state as possible; unrefined, unprocessed, organic and lovingly grown. Staples of my diet are are a rich variety of whole grains, seasonal vegetables, pulses, seeds, sea vegetables, nuts, fish and fruit (with some dairy, meat or eggs on occasions). Harmony Balance in our diet for balance and vitality in our lives. Eating in tune with the seasons and our environments and with what our individual bodies and lifestyles need. Taking care of our planet. Being aware of the energetic qualities of our cooking and our food and how that affects our health on every level. Easy And stress-free for both body and mind. Delicious Nourishing the soul as well as the body. Enjoying our food as part of our relationships and communities. (And there's nothing 'healthy' about dull food). |
